How does adiabatic cooling work?

5/14/2025

With summer temperatures rising, the search for efficient and sustainable cooling solutions has become a priority for many companies, and not only. Adiabatic cooling emerges as a cutting-edge technology, capable of reducing heat in a natural and environmentally friendly way.

How does adiabatic cooling work?

It is a system that uses the principle of water evaporation to lower the temperature of the air.

Through the use of high-pressure pumps and nebulizer nozzles, the water is transformed into an ultra-fine mist composed of millions of droplets.

The latter, evaporating, absorb the heat present in the surrounding environment, transforming into water vapor.

The process subtracts thermal energy from the air, causing a lowering of the temperature.

The advantages

  • Energy efficiency: compared to traditional cooling systems, it allows you to reduce energy consumption by up to 80%.
  • Sustainability: It does not use refrigerant gases, contributing to the reduction of environmental impact.
  • Low management costs: the investment for installation and maintenance is lower than traditional systems.
  • Environmental comfort: offers a cool and comfortable environment, ideal for industrial environments, large spaces and dry climate areas.

Applications

Adiabatic cooling lends itself to several applications, including:

  • Industrial environments: warehouses, sheds, production plants
  • Large spaces: shopping centers, airports, stations.
  • Dry climate areas: terraces, gardens, outdoor spaces.
  • Farms: to improve animal welfare.
